There are now 28 times this month to Belly Dance! We've added classes at noon on Mondays and Wednesdays. We've also added new beginner classes on Tuesdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 3 pm!

Our first formal party is this Saturday the 3rd! The tables seats are sold out! We are now taking reservations for the next party on March 3rd. The theme is Saint Patrick's Royal Ball. Call for your tickets soon as they are going fast!

Set the date for our two parties this December! The Holiday party is on Friday, December 15th from 8 to 10 pm. Our 4th annual New Year's Eve Eve party is on December 30th from 8 to 11 pm (of course). Come and join in the festivities.

The West bound side of the Cemetary Road bridge will be closed this weekend for repair. The closing starts Friday at 6 pm and will be open again on Monday before morning rush hour.

Belly dancing galore! Due to popularity, Dana is teaching a new belly dancing class on Sundays at 3 pm. We've been informed that people have canceled their memberships at the gym because Dana's class is much better! Ladies, now you can work on your belly dancing 3 times a week!

The November calendar is online! Because of the Ohio Star Ball and Thanksgiving, we are having the practice parties on the first two Fridays of the month. Please come to our potluck party on November 10th, and watch the competitors of the Ohio Star Ball dance for you! A printable calendar is available online. It is in pdf format.

The September calendar is online! Don't forget about or Belly Dancing class! Due to its popularity, we are adding another Belly Dancing class starting October 13th, Fridays at noon.

For those of you joining us on the Cincinnati Salsa cruise, here are the directions. Please be there by 10 pm to receive your ticket at the pier. Call (614) 777-6234 if you will be late. The boot leaves promptly at 10:45 pm. Dress code is enforced, please no hats or T-shirts. For more information please go to the Salsa Cruise website.

Due to instructor availability, the Thursday classes have been canceled for the rest of August and September. The classes will resume in October.

Join us tonight at the Coliseum where Stacy and Lisa will be teaching the Salsa class at 10 pm. Drop our name "Inviation to Dance" at the door, and it's only $5 for men and $3 for women before 11 pm. See you there!

Due to Sevin Night Club closing, the Salsa contest tonight has been moved to Brew Stirs! French Quarter. Sign in for the preliminary round is at 11:15 pm. See you there.

The new calendar is online. Check out our new Kids ballroom class on Saturdays at 11 am. Ages 7 through 12 are welcome. Cost is only $3 per class.

If you have been following "Dancing with the DJ's," you know the dance off has been canceled. However, you can see Stacy dancing her routine on our blog of her.

The Dublin Jerome High School Jazz band will present a "Night of Jazz Classics" from 7 to 10 p.m. Feb 24 and 25 in the school commons. The commons will be transformed into the "8300 Club" and will be decorated to feel like a swing club from the 1930s and 40s. The band will perform three 45 minute sets of swing music and a dance floor will be set up in front of the band stage. Bob Gibson, band director, received grants from several organizations to sponsor the event. Tickets are required to attend and are available at no charge by calling 718-8288 or via e-mail at to: gibson_robert@mail.dublin.k12.oh.us.

As seen on Primetime last night, our studio is proud to offer social, teen and competitive style dancing including Argentine Tango, Salsa, West Coast Swing, and much, much more. A children's class is starting in March. Please call for enrollment. All of the group classes are $5 for adults and $3 for children and teens.

Here are two good videos from msn.com. The first video is wrestling superstar Stacy Keibler being interviewed on a sports show. The second video is about how dance plays an important role in selecting a partner. It says what we've said all along - men's jobs are to show off the lady and to make the lady feel that it is all about her.

We are teaching at the USA Ballroom Dance this Saturday! All of our students are allowed in for free. Join us at 7:30 pm at the Triple Force Dance center in Hilliard.

Don't forget to watch America's Ballroom Challenge on PBS in February. The first part is Wednesday, February 1st at 8:00 pm and the second half will be televised Wednesday, February 8th at 8 pm. 24 of the top dancers in the United States and Canada battle it out to see who wins top honors at the Ohio Star Ball.

The calendar is online. Please notice that we added an American Rhythm Styling class on Mondays. This class will focus on styling all the moves that were taught the previous Thursday. It is a great class for social dancers and competitors alike.

We are pleased to announce that we are teaching a free Salsa class at Seven night club on Thursdays from 10 pm to 11 pm. The first half hour is a beginners' class, and the second half hour is advanced! Come and join us for a great time!

The September calendar is finally up online! With it we have several great changes! We've added a new couples class, where you can dance with your partner the entire time. Also, back by popular demand, Argentine Tango is on Wednesdays at 8 pm. The Advanced American Rhythm class now features West Coast Swing as one of the dances. And finally, we are starting a Teen Dance Club exclusively for the young adults!

It is with great sadness and regret to announce that Igor Iskhakov of Columbus Dance Center passed away this afternoon. He was a peer and talented dancer and will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, students, and loved ones.

The June calendar is now online! Please notice that we now have a Latin party every Monday from 9 pm to 10 pm after the group classes. The party is free with that nights group class!

We are proud to again annouce with affiliations with Oldies 107.9 and Bowties lounge our Swing competition! Qualifing rounds are on Wednesdays starting July 6th with the final at the Ohio State Fair. Stay tuned for more information.

Please note the changes to our summer schedule on our calendar. We have moved our Latin and Standard classes from Saturdays to Wednesdays. The coed Salsa styling class is now on Mondays at 8 pm. We have also added 2 new Latin parties every other Monday from 9 pm to 10 pm. Finally, a beginner/intermediate salsa class has been added on Mondays at 7 pm.

Shalon & Carlos The results of the third round of the Salsa competition is up. Please congratulate Carlos and Shalon for qualifying for the finals on February 3rd. There is still time to sign up to compete in the Mix and Match or the Open Salsa! The first round will start promptly at midnight.

Please join us for our Anniversary party February 6th. Celebrate that we've been open for 2 years. There will be 3 different rooms: Dancing, That "football" game on the big screen, and Cards. The July calendar is available online! There are several changes for this month. We will not hold the West Coast Swing class on Wednesdays. However, we will be teaching a free Swing class at Bowties at 8 pm.

Compete in the Swing competition at Bowties to win prestige, prizes, and be eligible to win a trip to Cancun! The competition is on Wednesdays through out July. The final round will be held at the Ohio State Fair on August, 4. Plus there is a free Swing lesson at 8 PM.

Please congratulate Diana on her exciting new Spanish class at OSU, we will miss her enthusiasm with us on Thursdays. Come join her exciting Latino Rhythms class every Saturday at 3 PM.

We would like to send our regrets and deepest sympathy to Diane Vermilion at Royal Impression Ballroom Dance Shoe Company on the death of her mother Mona. Mona was a great person and will be missed immensely by all of us.

There has been a change on the June calendar. The Party on Pearl was listed on Saturday June, 12. It is actually this Thursday from 4:30 to 8:00 pm. Yumbambé will be playing, and it sounds like it will be a lot of fun!

This month we are going on two Student Nights Out - Rally in the Alley featuring Yumbambé and the Latino Festival! Because of this we can have only one party. It is this Friday, June 11 from 8 - 10 pm. Please join us for a lot of fun!

Please congratulate Amy Rewick and Richelle Freeman on their superb performance at the Indiana Challenge Dance Competition last weekend! Amy placed 1^st in 5 dances and 2^nd in 3 dances. Richelle placed 1^st in 3 dances, 2^nd in 3 dances, and 3^rd in one dance.

February will be our one year anniversary! To commemorate the occasion, we will have a party on Sunday, February 8th. Please check back for more details.

Congratulations to Amy Rewick, Alecia Varga, Chris and Tara Chapman on stellar performances at the Ohio Star Ball! They danced their best, and Dana and I are proud to be their coaches. We can't wait to see them dance in February at the Indiana Challenge!

Old Hilliard Day Block Party!

Come celebrate Old Hilliard Street Fair and Art Festival Saturday, September 13^th from 2 pm to 9 pm! We are having 3 free workshops through out the day and a dance featuring the Embers in the evening. There will be food, prizes, and more. The best part is that it is all free!

Congratulations to Alecia Varga on her exceptional performance at the Midwest Invitational this past weekend. Alecia won Open Salsa, placed first in Intermediate Bronze Cha cha, Rumba, Swing, and Mambo. She placed second in Bolero and Final Bronze American Rhythm.

Alecia also placed second in her Open Pro-Am American Rhythm 5 Dance Scholarship Division!

Good job Alecia!

Dance instructor Stacy Coil took first place in a Mix and Match Salsa competition with his "newest" partner Starr. They received a grand prize of two tickets to the Salsa and Hustle competition in Florida! Alecia Varga also did extremely well by placing fourth with her partner Matt.

Great Job Guys!!!
