Congratulations to everyone performing at the 2009 Cincinnati Dancesport Competition. We are very proud of you! All that competed took top honors, especially the following: Gaby Mendez won the Bronze American Rhythm Scholorship, Rachel Lightner won the Silver American Rhythm Closed Scholarship and the Open American Rhythm 5 Dance Scholarship, Joe Martin won a top student award, and Stacy won a top teacher award. Ed Doersam and Regina Lukich, from Invitation to Dance studio, won the Dancing with the Stars Soft Scrub Dance Challenge January 9 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus. Ed and Regina impressed the audience of nearly ten thousand, beating 19 other local couples, some of them professional instructors dancing with their students, to capture the winning trophy.

This past week, several students and Team ITD competed in Columbus' own Ohio Star Ball, the largest ballroom dance competition in the world where the best of the best compete.

Everyone did very well and we want to congratulate Julia, Natalie, Denver, Marie, Rachel, Sherry, Gaby, Heather, Julio, Kate, Luis, and Stacy on their performances.

Tickets are going fast! The Halloween ball, the largest gala of the year, will be Friday November second and Saturday November third. This will be a night that will be talked about for years to come. Reserve your seat today!

Congratulatinos to Julia, Tabitha, Sherry, and Team ITD! They all did extremely well at the Volunteer State Dance Chanllenge in Nashville. Julia received 3 seconds and 1 first in American Rhythm. Tabitha received fourths, fifths, and sixths in American Rhythm. Sherry took 1 second and 5 firsts in her freestyles and second place in the International Bronze scholarship! Team ITD took a first place! We are very proud of all them!

The belly dancing class at noon is canceled today. We are at the Latino Festival! See you there!
